August was short because we were away for 2 weeks so no sewing happened then. But I managed quite a few things before we went on holiday.
I owed a picture of my striped Free Range Slacks from July's sewing round-up. I made them in a Linen Rayon available on my website.
At the end of last month, I had 4 other projects cut-out and finished almost all of them. Beside those, I sewed up quite a few samples of some of my sewing courses: Agnes Top with rouched sleeves, a skirt, pair of PJs and a shift dress.
Beginning of August, I wrote a blog post for UK fabric shop. I made the Charlie Caftan in a Viscose Crepe. More about the Charlie Caftan, you can read in my latest blog post.
And of course, I managed to finish my Faux Jumpsuot and have worn in while on holidays. The Faux Jumpsuit is made out of the Winslow Culottes by Helen's Closet and the Sutton Blouse by True Bias. The Rayon is lovely to wear and the two-piece jumpsuit is much better to wear than an actual jumpsuit. The Sutton Blouse is now available to book as a course and will run for the first time in October.
I also squeezed in another Agnes Top in the soft Cotton Jersey Grey Leopard print available on the website.
I have another sample already cut for Intro to Drapey Fabrics. This month, I will focus on course samples: Agnes Top and skirt as well as a Betty Dress for another photoshoot. Also planning a colour-blocked shift dress.
For my private wardrobe, I am currently unsure what to make. The one thing I want to practice is trousers and jeans but it is still too hot to wear them out in Dubai. So I am think I need some motivation and inspiration on what to sew next.
While on holidays, I picked up (only) 3 fabrics: some linens and a viscose stretch (for another Charlie Caftan). I bought these 3 beauties at Holm Sown.
What have you been sewing this month? What are your plans? Comment below.
Thanks for hanging out with me.
Happy Sewing,
