Have you ever thoughts of making a memory quilt for your kid but don't know where to start? Let us show you the ropes in our Intro to Quilting class.

What will you learn?

For this session, you will need to know how to thread and operate the sewing machine. If you have no knowledge, we highly recommend joining our Intro to Sewing workshop first.

​

​In our quilting class, you'll learn how to cut your fabric, piece the blocks together, and add a border to your design. We'll guide you through quilting the backing, batting, and pieced work using the "stitch in the ditch" technique. Finally, you'll finish your quilt by binding the edges for a polished look.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for adults who are Beginners that know how to thread a sewing machine.

What is included in the course? And what do I have to bring?

We will provide you with a fabric selection of Quilting Cottons to create the patchwork design and border.

 

Please bring:

- 1.5m of fabric for backing

- 1m of Cotton Blend Batting

- rotary cutter, cutting mat and quilting ruler

 

We can provide you with thread (white, black, grey or navy), any other colour, please bring a spool along.

Price: AED 1,250 per person

*we might give homework between each class. If you would like to complete the homework in the studio with the instructor, you can decide on the day. Any additional hour will be charged at AED 120 per hour/person.
